Environment
FoL cares deeply for the environment. We evaluate each aspect of our business to be sure we are doing everything within our power to support a healthy environment and are actively seeking ways to improve our processes.
Some of the ways we are working to support a healthy environment are:
1. We work with the people of Brazil in educating them on better ways to live in harmony with the Rainforest to preserve its delicate ecological balance.
2. Teaching the indigenous peoples of the Rainforest how to successfully harvest the acai and other native foods without destroying the plants themselves.
3. During the harvesting and processing of the acai, seeds are extracted from the berries and replanted.
4. Our VANU bottle is made of recycled glass.
5. All collateral material is printed on recycled paper. We also provide electronic versions of all materials to reduce the amount of paper we use.
6. Our shipping boxes and packaging materials are constructed of recycled paper.
